Lisa H. Hall
Lisa Hammerquist Hall’s Huguenot ancestors migrated from Quebec to Saranac Lake before the Civil War. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she operated a successful small couture business in New York City, Albany and the Adirondacks for 25 years. Her work appeared in many publications, including Martha Stewart Living, Town & Country and the New York Times Magazine, among others. Her background in design, business experience and a life-long love of community newspapers allowed her to step into the role of Lake George Mirror Publisher with enthusiasm. These days, her work as a couturier is confined to conserving the costumes of opera singer Marcella Sembrich at the museum in Bolton Landing dedicated to that diva’s memory. She also serves as the museum’s vice-president and as a director of the town’s historical society.
